Mobile Network Providers and Technologies

There are several networks and technologies that enables communication between mobile devices and the supporting devices. The following are the forever and widely used most influential standards and technologies:

1) GSM

GSM stands for Global System for Mobile Connection which is most widely used standard for mobile phone in the world. The promoter of  ' GM's Association ', estimates that 82% of the Global Mobile Market uses this standard.
In more than 200 countries and territories over 2 billion people uses GSM Phone. The prominent advantage of GSM systems to customer have been the better voice quality and low cot alternatives to making calls for eg- Short Message Service(SMS). One of the advantage for network operators is the ease of getting equipment from any that implement the standard.
GSM users also gets the availability of GPRS ( General Packeting Data Service) mobile data service. GPRS allows the user to use mobile internet and related data service without the access to 3G Network.

2) 3G
After 2G, 3G ha now come which is the third generation of mobile phone standards and technology. It is based on the International Tellecommunicatio Union (ITU) part of standards under the International Telecommunication IMT-2000 programme. Due to such advanced technology like 3D-Tech the network operators can offer users a wide range of advanced service while achieving greater network capacity through improved spectrum. These services include wide area wireless voice telephony and broadband wireless data transmission.

3) WIRELESS NETWORK (BLUETOOTH/WI-FI)
Due to emerging new trends and technology where mobile phones have become a cup of tea of almost everyone, mobile phones support several technologies at once not only in the respect to the communication between the handset and carrier network but also wireless networking such as Bluetooth (Short-range) or Wi-Fi (Medium-range).
Several areas have been established in retail areas where consumer's handset can receive promotional information  (In stores like Globus, Westside)or download music files via Bluetooth Connection.

4) SMS
SMS (Short Message Service) is the most commonly used protocol for text messaging between two or more mobile phones. SMS is a multi-billion dollar industry, which is available on a wide range of networks and performs very well.

5) MMS

MMS stands for Multimedia Message Service. It's use is for sending message with multimedia content such as image, audio, and video). Marketing messages sent via MMS generally becomes more effective which leads to higher brand recall than a normal SMS sent but the major limitation of MMS is that not all phones and networks support MMS consistencies, leading to patching option.

CONCEPTUAL VIEW OF MIS

The concept is a blend of principles, theories and practices of management, information and system giving rise to a single product called MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM . The concept of management gives high regard to the individual and his ability to use the information. MIS gives information through data analysis. While analyzing the information, it relies on many academic disciplines like management science, OR, organization behavior, psychology, etc. The foundation of MIS is the principles of management and its practices. MIS uses the concept of management control in its design and relies heavily on the fact that the decision maker is a human being and is a human processor of information. A MIS can be evolved for a specific objective it is evolved after systematic planning and design. It calls for an analysis of business, management views and policies, organization culture and the management style. The MIS,therefore relies heavily on systems theory. The systems theory offers soluti
